Three billing modes.
Every payment type.
The InterWeave SmartPayment Gateway (ISPG) supports all three billing modes — individual or in combination — to match your business model, whether you collect one-time payments, run subscriptions, or defer billing to a future date.
| Billing Mode | Description | Typical use case | Trigger in Creatio |
|---|---|---|---|
Real-time Immediate |
Immediate authorisation of a credit card or eCheck. The result (approved/declined) returns in seconds. | Collecting payment at deal close, order confirmation, or point-of-service checkout | Opportunity Closed Won, manual "Collect Payment" button, or Creatio workflow trigger |
Scheduled / Deferred Future-dated |
A payment is queued for a future date — useful for balance-due arrangements, instalment plans, or deposit + final payment workflows. | Deposit paid today, balance collected on delivery; milestone-based billing; deferred net-30 payments | Future date set on Creatio Order or Invoice record; ISPG collects automatically when date arrives |
Recurring / Subscription Automated |
Automated repeated billing on a configurable schedule — monthly, quarterly, annually, or custom interval. Card-on-file via tokenization. | SaaS subscriptions, membership billing, retainer agreements, maintenance contracts | Subscription record in Creatio; ISPG charges on schedule with retry logic for failed attempts |
48+ MSPs. Your processor. Your rates.
The InterWeave SmartPayment Gateway works with your existing Merchant Service Provider relationship — you keep your negotiated rates, your processor, and your settlement account. InterWeave routes the transaction from Creatio to your MSP and handles the response back.
If your preferred MSP isn't listed, InterWeave can often configure a custom connector — because ISPG is built to support many protocols and connectors, new MSPs can frequently be added via configuration or custom connector work.

FAQs.
Detailed technical and commercial questions about the InterWeave SmartPayment Gateway (ISPG) for Creatio — covering billing modes, MSPs, security, customisation, and implementation.
The InterWeave SmartPayment Gateway (ISPG) is a solution that integrates Creatio CRM with one or more Merchant Service Providers (MSPs) to process credit cards, ACH, electronic checks, recurring billing, and subscription payments. It handles real-time authorisations, scheduled (deferred) payments, and recurring/subscription billing — routing transactions to your processor and syncing results back into Creatio and your connected accounting system.
InterWeave ISPG supports many major and specialised MSPs including:
- Authorize.net
- First Data / Fiserv
- PayPal / Braintree
- iCash, Cybersource (Visa), Banktec, Vanco, PaymentXP
- Chase Paymentech, Nuvei, Moneris, TransferMate
- And many more — 48+ total
If your preferred MSP isn't listed, confirm with your InterWeave implementation team whether it is supported or can be custom-integrated — ISPG is built to accommodate new MSPs via configuration or custom connector work.
The Creatio Payment Gateway is licensed as an annual subscription: Professional ($7,499/yr), Enterprise ($9,499/yr), Ultimate ($13,499/yr) — all plus the SmartTracks service charge of $4,500. MSP processing fees (charged by your processor), taxes, and implementation costs may not be included in the base subscription. Ask your InterWeave team for full breakdowns including monthly vs. annual options and included support scope.
Because payment data is sensitive, ISPG must comply with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). InterWeave uses secure hosting and safeguards to protect data transmission. Critically, ISPG does not store sensitive card data in Creatio — it acts as a conduit to the payment processor, keeping sensitive data off your primary systems via tokenization. Confirm which parts of your payment flow (tokenization, encryption, vaulting) are handled by InterWeave vs. your payment processor during implementation.
InterWeave ISPG supports three billing modes, usable individually or in combination:
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Real-time | Immediate authorisation of a credit card or eCheck — result returned in seconds |
| Scheduled / Deferred | Payment queued for a future date — useful for balance-due, instalment, or milestone billing |
| Recurring / Subscription | Automated repeated billing on a configurable schedule (monthly, annually, custom) |
- Customer submits payment data (credit card or eCheck) via Creatio, your site, or portal
- InterWeave routes the transaction to your chosen MSP via secure connection
- The MSP (or acquiring bank) processes via card networks or banking rails
- The result (approved/declined) returns via the same chain to InterWeave, which records it in Creatio
- Funds are settled into your merchant bank account by the processor
This end-to-end flow is designed to complete within a few seconds in most cases.
Yes — one of ISPG's core purposes is to tightly integrate payment transactions into both your CRM (Creatio) and financial software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics) so you maintain a unified data flow. Payment results post automatically to your connected ERP — creating Sales Receipts, AR Payments, or Cash entries without manual re-entry by the finance team.
When a transaction fails or is declined, the response is logged in Creatio with full detail. Your system can be configured to:
- Send notifications or alerts to customer or internal users
- Apply retry logic (how many times, at what intervals)
- Handle expired cards, chargebacks, and insufficient funds scenarios
- Log all outcomes for reconciliation and audit
Work with your implementation team to define failure-handling policies and dunning workflows for recurring billing.
- Transaction-level reporting in Creatio — approved, declined, refunded
- Summary metrics — daily totals, settled vs unsettled, chargebacks
- Reconciliation tools — matching payments to invoices in Creatio and your accounting system
- Export / API — CSV export and ERP posting for your accounting systems
- Refunds: Full or partial refunds initiated from Creatio, routed to the MSP — implementation specifics depend on your MSP and contract
- Voids: Unsettled transactions can be voided before settlement occurs
- Chargebacks: Handled via your merchant account — the gateway logs the dispute and allows you to respond with evidence; timing and fees depend on your MSP
Yes. One of ISPG's core selling points is configurability — you can tailor flows, rules, field mappings, billing schedules, retry logic, and connector routing during implementation. Your team defines which modes to enable (real-time, recurring, scheduled), how failures should be handled, which Creatio fields map to which ERP fields, and how payment results flow back into your systems.
In many cases, you can request a custom integration. Because InterWeave ISPG is built to support many protocols and connectors, new MSPs can often be added via configuration or custom connector development. Confirm with your InterWeave vendor whether your needed MSP is feasible for integration and what the timeline and cost implications are.
